2010 marks the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the most significant battle in RAF history. This summer, we're inviting you to take part in the celebrations to thank those who fought for our freedom 70 years ago as well as those who are serving in the RAF today.
We can support you with throwing your own party or holding a different event to mark the anniversary, by providing you with a 'party pack'. The pack includes helpful hints, Battle themed party invitations and posters, a collection box, balloons and much more!
Simply drop us an email at party@rafbf.org.uk and tell us about your idea.
Funds you raise at your RAFBF Battle of Britain event will go towards helping RAF family members in need.
Some of the ways you could get involved:
- Arrange a street party
- Hold a coffee morning
- Ask your local pub or restaurant to host a Battle of Britain themed evening
- Hold a breakfast, lunch or supper party
- Hold a summer BBQ
If you can't hold an event, you might like to show your appreciation another way:
- Add your own personal message of 'heartfelt thanks' to the RAF on our Heartfelt Thanks site: www.rafbf.org/thanks
- Make a donation and help us to provide practical and financial support to the RAF - those who served 70 years ago and those serving in ongoing operations today: Donate to the RAFBF
