Domiciliary care

If you choose to remain in your own home, your local authority will assess your care needs and may offer to help you with the cost of being cared for at home.

If your local authority is already helping to pay for your care at home, then we may be able to give you additional help, when the local authority's payments don't cover the full cost of your care.

Care in your own home is often supported by a partner or other family member. Being a carer can be demanding and can put pressure on the relationship you have with them. We can help pay for welfare breaks, to give you and/or your carer time away from home to rest and recuperate.

We offer welfare breaks in our own care home, Princess Marina House, and we have links with a number of other care homes that specialise in welfare breaks for ex-Service personnel - see Welfare breaks.
