Proludic cycle 100km to mark the RAF Benevolent Fund's 100th year

Earlier this week, a team of fundraisers from Proludic took part in a 100km cycle challenge, raising £5,000 for the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Proludic, a manufacturer and supplier of playground equipment, has worked alongside the Fund since 2009, installing play and sports spaces at RAF stations across the country for serving personnel and their families.

As the RAF Benevolent Fund celebrates its 100th birthday this year, a group of five members of staff who made up the Proludic Peloton decided to organise a fundraising challenge to mark the centenary.

The team set off from the Proludic headquarters in Bunny, Nottinghamshire. The route took the riders out into the Vale of Belvoir and onward through scenic Rutland countryside, culminating at the RAF Wittering base near Stamford where Proludic has recently installed a number of new play areas.

Anne Parkin, Key Accounts Manager at Proludic, said: "As Proludic has had the privilege of working with the RAF Benevolent Fund since 2009, we were not going to let this special anniversary pass unnoticed without giving our best wishes. We felt it was particularly important to celebrate the great work they do and mark this occasion. It was decided that we would raise money by challenging ourselves to cycle 100 kilometres to celebrate every year that the charity has been in existence."
