On Sunday 26 May, RAF ice hockey team RAF Cosford Stars won a match against the Telford Spartans to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund.

The game played at Telford Ice Rink, saw both teams playing well with neither prepared to give the opposition an easy win. The team from RAF Cosford managed to take the lead and slowly expand the gap to a winning 7-4.

Community Fundraising Team Leader at the Fund, Amber Satterthwaite, took part in the ceremonial puck drop to kick off the match. The charity match raised over £600 for the Fund.

RAF Cosford in Shropshire is a major part of the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT). It is at the centre of the RAF’s mission to deliver flexible, affordable, modern and effective technical training that meets the needs of the UK’s Armed Forces now and into the future.
