On Sunday 9 June, members of the RAF Family took part in the Woodhall Spa 10K to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund.

The Woodhall Spa 10K starts and finishes in Jubilee Park, Lincolnshire. The annual event attracted a total of 1500 runners, 48 of whom were taking part to raise money for the Fund.

The group included RAF personnel, both serving and veterans, or those with a family member or friend who has served. There were also a number of individuals without an RAF connection who wanted to support the work of the Fund and the RAF Family.

Liam Horsley, Regional Business Support Executive (Central, North England and Wales) at the Fund said: “The runners participating for the RAF Benevolent Fund did a fantastic job on the day, showing great effort and determination whilst undertaking this physical challenge to help raise money to allow the Fund to continue its vital work in supporting the RAF family. A special thank you should go to our five volunteers on the day. All were excellent in helping to run our stand and providing motivation and encouragement to those taking part on our behalf.”

The team raised over £1000 for the Fund.
