On Friday 25 October 2024, the RAF Benevolent Fund and the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers collaborated with The Central Band of the RAF to host the Music in the Air concert at the prestigious Royal Military Chapel.
The evening included a presentation of classical and modern music in the Guards’ Chapel at the Wellington Barracks, Westminster.
The three-hour event saw 270 people attend including RAF Air Cadets and the Chelsea Pensioners, former members of the British Army who now reside in retirement at the Royal Chelsea Hospital in London.
Donations were made to the Fund and the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers on the night.
George Brown, Community Fundraiser for the South at the RAF Benevolent Fund said: “We were delighted to work with the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers and The Central Band of the RAF to host such a wonderful concert. Events such as these help to highlight the welfare services provided by the Fund to support members of the RAF Family, whenever they need us.”
