Fund holds annual carol concert
Despite the snow and travel difficulties, over 150 supporters joined the RAF Benevolent Fund on 14 December for the Fund’s annual carol concert at St Clement Danes, the Church of the Royal Air Force.
Guests were greeted on arrival by cadets from 282 (East Ham) before being treated to performances by the RAF Spitfires Choir and the St Clement Danes Church Choir as well as the Voices of Armed Forces Children Choir. The choir is made up of children with parents serving in the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Marines and Royal Air Force and the two songs they performed, which they wrote themselves, were both a hit with guests.
There were also plenty of carols for the guests to join in with and a mix of readings given by members of the RAF Family. Festive refreshments were served after the concert to round off the evening.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the concert, in particular our sponsors MBDA and The Mercury Foundation.
