The Fund's All Stations podcast has been shortlisted for a top industry award! The ARIAS recognise excellence in audio and radio broadcasting and we're delighted to have been named in the Best Independent Production category.
Helped by our partners at Chalk and Blade, we launched series two of All Stations to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, last year. The series focussed on the history of the Battle, drawing on historians' expertise as well as testimony from those who lived though it, read by serving RAF personnel.
Fiona Ferguson, Head of Communications at the Fund, said: "We wanted to bring the Battle of Britain alive for a new generation, to tell them story of sacrifice made by those brave men who went up into the skies night after night and against all odds came home the victors."
The series also had a bonus episode, a drama based on the battle, written by a competition winner. Cumbrian writer Matthew Wignall created the audio drama A Gingerbread Man in the RAF which was recorded featuring Star Wars actor Alistair Petrie and Mark Morgahan.
The winners of the ARIAS will be announced at a ceremony on 26 May.
