Paul Hughesdon awarded an MBE in the 2024 New Year’s Honours list

The RAF Benevolent Fund’s former Director of Grants, Services and Programme, Paul Hughesdon has been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his extensive contribution supporting members of the RAF Family in need.

Paul retired from the Fund in the summer of 2023 after 14 years leading its welfare department. His contribution to supporting the RAF Family both through his work and voluntary activities have left a lasting change. He was the driving force behind the creation and development of Airplay, the Fund’s youth programme and has overseen the expansion of the Fund’s welfare offer making a generational change in how members of the RAF Family are supported.

All at the Fund are delighted that his work and the impact of the Fund’s welfare service have been recognised with this honour.
