Seventeen-year-old student Lucy Lang will be doing a sponsored walk this Saturday 3 August to raise money for our charity. Here Lucy tells us more.

My walk will start and finish at the LC2 centre in Swansea, South Wales. When everyone who's walking with me has checked in we will walk up to the pier in Mumbles where we will all stop for lunch and a raffle.

There were some wonderful prizes that were donated from from Boots in Neath. We have also had a donation from Morrison's and are waiting to hear back from various other places. We are hoping to have food and drinks donated too.

After the raffle we'll all walk back to the LC2 and there we will say a big thank you to all those involved and celebrate our achievement.

I decided to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund because my partner Nathan is in the RAF. Nathan has met people who have received help and support from the charity so to me it was a worthwhile cause to support.

It's also a privilege to help raise money for those who put their lives on the line to fight for our country and keep our skies safe.

I'd like to give a special thanks to all the people who will be walking with me on the day and to my mum and dad for all their help and support. A big thank you to RAF Benevolent Fund’s Cerys Truman for her help and support throughout and last but not least,

I'd like to thank the shops and companies that have donated things for the walk and raffle.
